Insurance participation, billing details, and what to know before your visit.
We want insurance and billing to feel as clear and straightforward as possible. The information below outlines general participation, provider-specific contracting, self-pay information, and our cancellation policy.
Insurance coverage can vary even within the same carrier
At Bakker Natural Medicine, we strive to make insurance and billing as simple as possible. Even when we are in-network with an insurance company, it is important to understand that some plans may not cover naturopathic services, and some procedures may not be covered under a particular plan.
Because of that, each patient remains responsible for understanding the terms, benefits, and limitations of their own plan. We strongly recommend contacting your insurance company before scheduling so you can confirm both provider participation and benefit coverage for the type of care you are seeking.
- Verify whether your specific plan includes naturopathic benefits.
- Verify whether any procedures or specialty services are covered.
- Confirm whether the provider you plan to see is contracted with your plan.

The most important update on this page is that insurance participation should be viewed by provider. The lists below are intended to make it much easier to see which plans each provider is currently contracted with.

Self-pay pricing
We also want the page to remain useful for patients who do not have insurance, are out-of-network, or do not have coverage for the service they need.
For patients without coverage
For those who do not have insurance, or whose plan does not cover the services offered, self-pay options are available.
We offer self-pay pricing on a sliding scale with the goal of keeping quality care as accessible as possible.
Most current pricing
Self-pay rates are updated periodically to reflect current pricing. For the most up-to-date fee information, please contact a member of the front desk team and we will be happy to assist you.
Cancellation & no-show policy
We understand that schedules change. When possible, we appreciate as much notice as possible so we can better serve other patients as well, especially those with more urgent needs.
Cancellation timing
- 24-hour notice is required. Please call (206) 428-2075 as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
- Late cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged $75 per cancellation.
Missed appointments
- No call / no show: the first missed appointment is billed at $150.
- Subsequent missed appointments are billed at $175.
