Naturopathic physician
My journey into naturopathic medicine began during my undergraduate studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Initially uncertain about my academic path, I was drawn to health habits, public health, and healthcare equity. I discovered a groundbreaking degree program—Integrative Therapeutic Practices, only the second of its kind in the U.S. This program introduced me to homeopathy, botanical pharmacology, nutrition, dream analysis, and more, providing a strong foundation in holistic healing. It was here that I met my first naturopathic physician, whose encouragement ultimately led me to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine.
I come from a hardworking family—my father an electrician, my mother a hairstylist—and I was the first in my family to attend a four-year university. The idea of becoming a doctor initially felt far beyond my reach; in fact, I once envisioned a career as a server. But no matter where my studies took me, I kept finding myself drawn back to the field of naturopathic medicine. Over time, I realized this wasn’t just a profession for me—it was a calling. Now, after years in practice, I continue to feel invigorated and inspired each time I meet with a patient, exploring how naturopathic medicine can support their health and well-being.
During my residency at Nature Cures, a practice within the Seattle Healing Arts Center, I trained as a primary care physician in an integrative healthcare setting. I developed a deep passion for empowering patients to take control of their health, particularly through neurofeedback and biofeedback, which remain key components of my practice today. As a lifelong athlete, I also specialize in physical medicine, including soft tissue and osteopathic manipulation, to help patients find relief from pain and restore functional movement.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find me running, rock climbing, hiking, or backpacking—always embracing the outdoors. I love sharing these adventures with my wonderful wife Margaret, our two children, and our spirited dog, Roethke.

Practice Philosophy
I believe that sustainable changes made to our foundational health habits are the most effective means to improve well-being. When working with people I invest a lot our time into improving sleep, diet, hydration, and nutrition. Every human being is an ecosystem. I believe that if we abide by the laws of our own unique ecosystem that we can move towards living lives that are disease free.
